Search continues for man missing in floodwaters - Barrier

A multi-agency search is underway for a man missing in floodwaters in the state's west.

About 11.30am on Saturday (26 November 2022), emergency services were called to River Street at Balranald following reports a 19-year-old Balranald man had been swept into floodwaters.

A search involving officers from Barrier Police District, Marine Rescue, Rural Fire Service, and the State Emergency Service commenced; however, has since been suspended to resume at 7am on Monday (28 November 2022).

Inquiries continue.
