Search Continues For Missing Swimmer - Little Bay

A multi-agency search to locate a swimmer in Sydney's east will continue this morning.

Emergency services were called to Little Bay Beach, Little Bay, about 11am yesterday (Monday 25 May 2026), following reports a man was seen struggling in the water about 100m offshore.

Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command, with assistance from Marine Area Command, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, NSW Marine Rescue and Surf Life Saving NSW, commenced a multi-agency search to locate the man, believed to be in his 30s.

The search was continued during daylight hours until 4.40pm (Monday 25 May 2025), when the search was suspended.

The search will resume today (Tuesday 26 May 2026) at 8am.
