Search for car in suspicious disappearance of Dale Pantic

Missing Person Squad detectives are investigating the suspicious diappearance of Lakes Entrance man Dalibor "Dale" Pantic.

The 38-year-old was last seen by his friend at a farm in Perry Bridge when he left the property to drive to Melbourne about 7pm on Wednesday 10 April.

Dale never arrived in Melbourne and has had no contact with his family since.

His fiancee reported him missing at 6am on Saturday, 13 April.

Police and family have strong concerns for Dale's welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

Investigators have been making a number of enquires in order to determine Dale's movements after leaving Perry Bridge.

There have been a number of sightings of his silver 2005 Ford sedan, with Victorian registration 1NK 8BP, across Melbourne in the days following his disappearance.

The vehicle has distinctive non-standard rims as pictured below.

The first sighting was at a service station inbound on the Princes Freeway at Officer at 12.28am on 12 April.

It was seen again outbound on Eastlink at the Springvale Road/Ringwood Bypass at 11.59am and at the High Street Road/Fertnree Fully Road exit at 12.07pm.

Despite several instances being caught on CCTV, it cannot be determined who was driving the vehicle when it was sighted.

Missing Person Squad Detective Acting Inspector Julian Horan said it was unusal for Dale to not be in contact with his family for several days.

"Dale has a close relationship with his five kids and was making the long drive to Melbourne and back to Lakes Entrance in one day in order to meet up with two of his daughters the following day," he said.

"When he missed this meeting his family has become very concerned and contacted police.

"Dale hasn't been active on any of his social media accounts, accessed his bank accounts or made contact with any family members.

"We believe there are members of the community who have information in relation to Dale's disappearance and we urge those people to come forward."

He is described as approximately 178cm tall, solid build, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who saw Dale around the time of his disappearance or who may have seen his Ford sedan or anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppers.com.au
