Police are searching for a taxi driver after an incident last night in Brunswick, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told a taxi was parked on the side of Moreland Street, near Nicholson Street, about 9.15pm.
A man was then seen arguing with the driver outside the taxi before the driver got in and drove off.
The man gave chase and was continuing the verbal altercation through the driver’s side window.
It appears the man has somehow been dragged a short distance and was then struck by the taxi before the taxi drove away.
The man, who is yet to be identified, has been taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for the driver of the yellow taxi to make contact with them so they can investigate the exact circumstances.
