Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to as part of an ongoing investigation into an assault in Collingwood last year, Victoria Police say.
The incident occurred at a licensed premises about 10pm on 25 June, 2017.
The victim, a man aged in his 30s, subsequently contacted police.
A 38-year-old Hawthorn man was arrested shortly afterwards, however he was released pending further enquiries.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing and a number of people are believed to have been in the area at the time of the assault.
CCTV footage shows a man police believe may have witnessed the incident and they are appealing for him to come forward.
The man is not being considered as a suspect in this investigation.
He is described as being aged in his 30s, between 180-190cm tall with shoulder length-black hair and a beard.
He also has a number of distinctive tattoos.
Investigators have released an image of the man in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his identity or ask him to contact police.
