A multi-agency search for a fisherman man who disappeared in waters off Coffs Harbour has been suspended.
About 7:15pm on Monday 6 April 2026, emergency services were called to Emerald Beach, Coffs Harbour, following reports of a missing fisherman.
Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were told a 32-year-old man, had been washed off rocks while fishing.
Coffs Harbour Water Police, assisted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, commenced an extensive search of the area.
Despite an extensive water and shore-based search over the past four days, the man was not located.
The formal search was suspended at 1.00pm today (Thursday 9 April 2026).
Water Police and other agencies will continue to search the waters off Emerald Beach in the coming days as part of normal proactive taskings.
