Search of vehicle uncovers drugs.

A 30 year old Frenchville man was arrested and charged after police received a tip off that he had allegedly stolen items from a mini bar at a motel in Emerald, Queensland Police say.

Police intercepted his vehicle at Emerald on Wednesday and searched it as they suspected it contained the stolen property.

During the search officers allegedly located two mini bottles of spirits, a quantity of methylamphetamine, a large amount of cash, a locked safe and other items.

The man was subsequently arrested and charged with one count each of stealing, possessing dangerous drugs, possess utensils, possessing property suspected of being proceeds of crime and receiving tainted property.

The man appeared in Emerald Magistrates Court today and was remanded in custody to reappear on 25 September.
