Search underway for missing girl in Doonside

A large search is underway in Doonside, in Sydney’s west, for a missing five-year-old girl, NSW Police say.

The girl was last seen on Judith Anderson Drive just before 6.30pm today.

Family members contacted police when she could not be located.

It’s believed she wandered off from her family home and serious concerns are held for her welfare.

Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command, along with the Dog Unit and PolAir, are conducting a large search of the area.

The girl is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance and has a thin build.

She was last seen wearing a white jumpsuit with pink flowers and a pink headband.

Anyone who sees the child is urged to contact police immediately.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
