Search underway for missing man, Mount Cootha

Police are coordinating a ground search today for a 43-year-old Logan Reserve man who was reported missing on January 22 from the Logan area.

Malik Hussain was last seen at his home on the afternoon of Saturday, January 16.

Mr Hussain's vehicle, a white 2013 Toyota Corolla, has been located within The Summit carpark off Sir Samuel Griffith Drive, Mount Coot-Tha.

It is believed this vehicle has been in the same place since at least 10am yesterday.

Police with assistance from State Emergency Service volunteers will conduct a search of the Mount Coot-Tha bushland area today.

Police and family hold concerns for Mr Hussain's safety and wellbeing as this behaviour is out of character.

Mr Hussain is Pakistani, 165cm tall with short black hair and a beard.

Anyone with information about Mr Hussain's whereabouts is urged to come forward immediately.

Anyone who has visited The Summit carpark off Sir Samuel Griffith Drive in recent days and noticed Mr Hussain's vehicle is asked to immediately contact Policelink.
