It's the iconic anthem synonymous with rugby league and late 80s power ballads.
So it's only fitting in a week where the mighty Newcastle Knights are preparing for their NRL grand final berth that Tina Turner's hit Simply the Best will be belted out at Warners Bay Theatre, baramayiba.
The singalong hit will be one of many from Turner's catalogue performed on Saturday night as part of the 'Tina Turner's Simply the Best' tribute show by Rebecca O'Connor.
O'Connor is the only Tina Turner tribute performer endorsed by the singer herself, who once described O'Connor's renditions as "so good it's scary".
O'Connor says she was introduced to Turner's music when she was aged just six, growing up in Ireland.
"In my eyes, Tina had it all," she says.
"Tina is a soul that shines bright in every way. I know that keeping her music alive is a very hard act to follow and every performance needs to be my best. If it's not my best, I won't do the queen of rock and roll justice."
Lake Macquarie Mayor Adam Shultz said Tina Turner fans would no doubt hang on every word O'Connor sang.
"What better way to warm up the vocal cords ahead of Sunday night's NRL grand final than a singalong to some of Tina Turner's classics," he said.
Saturday night's show will feature a full backing band and dancers, recreating the atmosphere of a live Tina Turner concert.
"Having such a good team around me makes the show jump, and people love that," O'Connor says.
Dennis Dunstan, O'Connor's manager and a former manager for Fleetwood Mac, said he realised her "huge potential" when he came across her singing in a bar in the Canary Islands.
"Seventeen years later, she now travels the world to sold-out theatres," he said.
