Police are conducting a land search for a man missing in the state's north.
Mark Angus, aged 67, was last seen in Nimbin about 4pm on Friday (8 August 2025).
When he could not be contacted or located officers from Richmond Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Following inquiries on Saturday (9 August 2025) about 8am his vehicle – a 1994 white Toyota Hiace van – was located abandoned on Stander Road, Stony Chute, approximately 10km west of Nimbin.
Local police with the assistance of the State Emergency Services are undertaking a search of bushland at the location.
Mark is described as Caucasian appearance, thin build, 160cm tall with grey hair and beard.
He was last seen wearing a long dark green jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.
