Second former Rebels OMCG member arrested over criminal network

Strike Force Raptor have arrested a second former Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) member as part of investigations into an alleged criminal network.

Detectives from the Criminal Groups Squad's Strike Force Raptor established Strike Force Pavasovic to investigate the activities of criminal networks, including the supply of prohibited drugs, across Sydney.

During the course of the investigation, strike force investigators executed a crime scene warrant and conducted a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) search at a home at Sackville in June 2019.

A 29-year-old man was charged and remains before the courts.

Following further inquiries, Strike Force Raptor arrested a 35-year-old man at a home in Emu Plains just after 8am today (Wednesday 10 July 2019).

Shortly after, investigators conducted FPO search at the property, which is ongoing.

The man, who is a former member of the Rebels OMCG, was taken to Penrith Police Station to assist police with their inquiries.

Investigations are continuing.

Strike Force Raptor was established in 2009 and conducts proactive investigations and intelligence-based, high-impact policing operations to prevent and disrupt conflicts, and dismantle any network engaged in serious organised criminal activity.
