A second man has been charged after more than 16kg of methylamphetamine was seized from a home in Sydney's south-west yesterday.
Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Phyllis Street, Mount Pritchard, about 7am (Wednesday 24 February 2021).
Police will allege they found an active clandestine laboratory manufacturing methylamphetamine.
Specialist officers from the Drug and Firearms Squad's Chemical Operations Unit assisted in the dismantling process and subsequent seizure of 16.6kg of methylamphetamine.
The drugs have a total estimated potential street value of $1.625 million.
A 44-year-old man was arrested at the home and charged. He remains before the courts.
As part of further investigations, officers executed a second search warrant at a home on Steele Place, Bonnyrigg, yesterday.
During the search, officers found 30g of methylamphetamine, 2kg of cannabis head and more than $900 cash.
Following further inquiries, police arrested a 33-year-old man at a home on Ortan Street, Currans Hill, about 1.40pm today (Thursday 25 February 2020).
He was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with an outstanding warrant for manufacture prohibited drug (greater than large commercial quantity) and take part supply prohibited drug (greater than large commercial quantity).
The Mount Pritchard man was refused bail to appear in Picton Local Court today (Friday 26 February 2021).
