Second man charged by Strike Force Catkin - Oxley Police District

A second man has been charged following an investigation into the alleged supply of prohibited drugs in the state's north-west.

In April 2020, officers from Oxley Police District's Proactive Crime Team (PCT) established Strike Force Catkin to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Werris Creek and Tamworth area.

Strike force officers arrested a 31-year-old man yesterday (Thursday 7 January 2021). He was charged with numerous drug offences and remains before the court.

Following further inquiries, officers arrested a 28-year-old man about 2pm yesterday (Thursday 7 January 2021), at a home on Dibar Drive, Tamworth.

He was taken to Tamworth Police Station and charged with supply cannabis.

The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Tamworth Local Court on Monday 1 February 2021.
