Second man charged over public place shooting - Ingleburn

A second man has been charged after a public place shooting at Ingleburn at the weekend

About 5.30pm on Saturday (15 August 2020), police were called to Harper Way at Ingleburn in relation to reports of gunshots heard in the area.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation. A crime scene was established.

Following inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a home in Harper Way and officers allegedly seized live and spent ammunition throughout the premises, along with a rifle magazine and an ammunition belt.

A 40-year-old man was charged and remains before the courts.

Following further inquiries, a 36-year-old man was arrested at a home on Pardalote Street, Ingleburn, about 9am today (Monday 17 August 2020).

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with accessory after the fact to fire firearm manner likely injure persons/property.

Police will allege in court that the man assisted in the disposal of the firearm.

The man appeared in Campbelltown Local Court today where he was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Wednesday 14 October 2020.
