Homicide Squad detectives have this morning charged a second man following the fatal shooting of a man in Noble Park in July.

A 38-year-old Springvale man, previously charged with affray and intentionally cause injury on October 21, has today also been charged with one count of murder.

He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 29 November.

On Wednesday last week, police charged a 25-year-old Blackburn man with murder.

The charges follow an incident on Monday 11 July when emergency services were called after reports a man had been shot at a unit on Corrigan Road about 6am.

A 36-year-old Noble Park North man died at the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
