Second person charged after Sunbury shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a second person following a non-fatal shooting in Sunbury last week.

The 39-year-old Kangaroo Flat man has been charged with attempted armed robbery, intentionally cause serious injury and conduct endangering life.

He will appear before an out of sessions hearing this evening.

The charges follow the alleged shooting of a 57-year-old Sunshine man as he got out of his vehicle in the driveway of a Belleview Drive property about 1am on Saturday, 8 February.

Detectives also arrested a 30-year-old woman yesterday in relation to the incident.

The Long Gully woman was charged with attempted armed robbery, intentionally and recklessly cause serious injury, conduct endangering life and prohibited person possess and use firearm.

She appeared before Bendigo Magistrates' Court today and will reappear at a later date.

Detectives also located the 4WD which had been seen in the area prior to the shooting and it will now undergo forensic testing.
