Second person charged with murder at Parkes

A woman will face court today charged with accessory to murder following the discovery of a body at a home at Parkes in May this year.

Investigators attached to Central West Police District established Strike Force Makoro to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

About 4pm on Wednesday 6 May 2020 police were called to a home in Best Street, Parkes after concerns were raised for the welfare of the occupant.

Officers found the body of the 74-year-old man inside the home and established a crime scene.

A 31-year-old man was arrested at a house in Best Street about 11pm on Wednesday 6 May 2020, he was bail refused and will reappear at Parkes Local Court on Monday 21 September 2020.

Following further investigations, a 37-year-old woman was arrested at 7.40am today (Wednesday 5 August 2020) and taken to Parkes Police Station and charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

The woman was bail refused to appear at Parkes Local Court today (Wednesday 5 August 2020).
