The OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek (POiB) held the second round of the Consultative Mechanism in a hybrid format at the Novotel Hotel and online. The event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, government agencies, international organizations, and development partners.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Volker Frobarth, Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, emphasized the importance of maintaining regular dialogue between the OSCE and national partners to strengthen trust and enhance the effectiveness of joint initiatives.
The Consultative Mechanism serves as a key platform for strategic interaction, information exchange, and alignment of priorities between the OSCE Programme Office and its national and international partners. The second round provided an opportunity to review joint achievements in 2025 and identify areas for co-operation in 2026.
During the session, the three departments of the Programme Office - the Politico-Military, Economic-Environmental, and Human Dimension - presented their results, ongoing initiatives, and plans for the upcoming year. Special attention was given to strengthening regional security, promoting the rule of law, protecting human rights, and advancing sustainable socio-economic development and gender equality.
Participants acknowledged the importance of the Consultative Mechanism as an effective tool for coordination and partnership building. The outcomes of the discussions will contribute to the further development of joint programmes in support of stability, security, and sustainable development in the Kyrgyz Republic.
