Austin III spoke with German Federal Minister of Defense, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.
Both Principals noted the need to rapidly and safely evacuate as many personnel as possible in the coming days.
They agreed to remain in close contact as the situation evolves in Afghanistan.
