Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with German Federal Minister of Defense Christine Lambrecht about Russia's war in Ukraine. Secretary Austin thanked the Minister for Germany's continued commitment to providing critical capabilities to Ukraine, including its provision of MARS II MLRS systems. He also thanked her for Germany's efforts to host training for Ukrainian forces in Germany. They agreed to remain in close contact on these efforts.
