Jim Chapman is a chartered Architect and Urban Designer with over 40 years experience as a consultant delivering a wide range of projects in many sectors. He established an independent consultancy in 2006 which focuses on supporting and advising clients on the delivery of high quality projects. Jim is a Visiting Professor of Architecture for the Manchester School of Architecture, following 9 years on the governing board, and is a Trustee of the National Museums Liverpool supporting the in-house team with major developments in the City centre and Waterfront. He supported the City on the development plans for Liverpool One and in Manchester worked on the development plans in 1996 and the Commonwealth Games in 2002. Jim acts as an adviser for the Royal Institute of British Architects competitions team and as a client adviser for urban design, education and healthcare projects and is currently involved on the award winning campus at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, the new frontage building at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He is working with a number of Trusts as they prepare development plans to meet acute and community healthcare needs. He is an accredited DQI facilitator in the healthcare sector for Construction Industry Council and a member of the design review panel for Architecture+ Design Scotland.
Ian Rosenblatt OBE is a solicitor. He is the Founder and Senior Partner of Rosenblatt, a Law Firm in the City of London as well as being the co-Founder of Redleaf Communications Ltd an award winning financial public relations agency. Apart from his business interests Ian founded the Rosenblatt Recital Series , an internationally recognised vocal recital series. After some 200 concerts, numerous Sky Arts broadcasts and 12 CD recordings on the Royal Opera House label the Series finished in June 2017 after 18 years. Ian also promoted the Branscombe Festival, a music Festival in Devon. Ian is a Trustee of the Susan Chilcott Scholarship which gives bursaries to young opera singers and was the benefactor of the Rosenblatt Song Prize at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. He is also a former Trustee and Council member of the Royal Philharmonic Society. Les Aldrich, the North London music shop famous for selling Ray Davies his first guitar was rescued from closure by Ian some 5 years ago. Ian is a Patron of the Barbican Centre ( where his wife is Chair of Trustees), a benefactor to the South Bank an RNIB Ambassador as well as a Trustee of the Ronson Family Foundation. Ian was awarded an OBE in the 2016 Birthday Honours List for philanthropic services to music.
Dr Virginia Tandy OBE is the director of a new national initiative on age and creativity hosted by Manchester Museum and funded by the Baring Foundation, an independent arts and heritage consultant and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Manchester. The former Director of Manchester City Galleries (1998-2008) and Director of Culture for Manchester City Council (2008-2011), she was President of the Museums Association from 2006-2008 and a trustee of the Heritage Lottery Fund from 2009-2015. A board member of the Granada Foundation, she chairs Brighter Sound, a creative music charity and is a member of the Fabric Committee for St Paul's Cathedral.
Heather Lauder was born and raised in Liverpool and has spent the last 31 years working within Financial Services. She has sat on two Bank Executive Boards and is currently the Chief Operating Director at the Co operative Bank, accountable for over 2,400 colleagues across 15 businesses, including Digital, Customer Contact Centres, Branch Network, Operations, Fraud, Payments and Complaints. Heather has latterly specialised in large scale bank transformations / turnarounds, with specific focus on cost reduction and revenue generation. Heather cares deeply about delivering results for customers and developing her team. Heather has been a member of the Board of Trustees of National Museums Liverpool since 2016, chairing the Audit committee and bringing considerable P&L experience.
These roles are not remunerated. These reappointments have been made in accordance with the Cabinet Office's Governance Code on Public Appointments, the process is regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. The Government's Governance Code requires that any significant political activity undertaken by an appointee in the last five years is declared. This is defined as holding office, public speaking, making a recordable donation or candidature for election. James Chapman, Ian Rosenblatt, Virginia Tandy and Heather Lauder have not declared any activity.
