NT Defence Week has arrived with a full schedule of activities and stakeholder engagement, marking a pivotal moment for the Northern Territory.

Defence Week is not just about strategy; it is about proving that the Territory is more than a strategic location.

It is a region brimming with potential, rich in national significance, and central to Australia's defence future.

DefenceNT is proud to lead NT Defence Week 2025, held from Monday 28 April to Friday 2 May, welcoming defence personnel and industry leaders from across Australia and around the world.

Delegates will take part in the Australian Defence Magazine's Northern Australia Defence Summit, alongside a dynamic program of events designed to strengthen and advance the Territory's defence industry capability.

Key highlights include:

An expanded two-day summit featuring senior ADF decision-makers, government leaders, and strategic analysts;Integrated industry engagement through symposia, industry tours, and meet-the-buyer sessions; andAnd exclusive networking opportunities, from the Parliament House Welcome Reception to the Chief Minister's Defence Industry Excellence Awards.

Chief Minister and Minister for Defence NT, Lia Finocchiaro, said Northern Australia continued to prove its capacity for major investment, infrastructure delivery, and national security leadership.

"The Northern Territory's strategic location in the Indo-Pacific is a key driver of growth in our defence sector," said Mrs Finocchiaro.

"This week is about strengthening partnerships with major defence contractors, both domestic and international, to deliver long-term benefits for the Territory as we continue rebuilding our economy.

"With over 1,600 event registrations and more than 200 businesses represented, NT Defence Week 2025 reflects the growing national and global interest in the Northern Territory's defence capability and potential."

This year's theme, Uplifting Industry Across the North to Meet Capability Demands of the ADF, Allies and Partners, reflects the Territory's growing role in enabling national defence readiness and regional cooperation.

NT Defence Week remains a vital platform for showcasing the Northern Territory's strategic value and its ability to meet the evolving capability demands of Australia, our allies, and our partners.
