The Crisafulli Government has delivered on its election commitment to upgrade Beachmere's Clayton Park, creating a modern and inclusive community space for local families.
Delivered in partnership with the City of Moreton Bay, the $500,000 investment has transformed the popular park into a vibrant destination for residents and visitors alike.
The upgrade includes new all-ages play equipment, improved recreational areas and enhanced accessibility, ensuring the space can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities.
The Crisafulli Government is building Queensland's future, with the project forming part of the commitment to create stronger communities and ensure families have access to high-quality recreational facilities close to home.
Under the former Labor Government, Queensland communities were neglected and missed out on vital local infrastructure funding during their decade of decline.
Minister for Local Government and Water Ann Leahy said the completed upgrade was another example of the Crisafulli Government's commitment to deliver better services through a stronger economy.
"We promised to improve the community infrastructure for local families in Moreton Bay, and that's exactly what we have delivered at Clayton Park," Minister Leahy said.
"The Crisafulli Government is building stronger communities by investing in the local facilities and public spaces that help make Queensland a great place to live, work and raise a family."
Member for Pumicestone Ariana Doolan said local families would benefit from the upgraded park for years to come.
"Clayton Park is a much-loved community space, and these improvements give local families a modern, safe and welcoming place to spend time together," Miss Doolan said.
"This is a great example of a commitment being delivered for our community, creating a space where children can play, families can connect and residents can enjoy the outdoors close to home."
City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery said the completed upgrades delivered significant benefits for the local community.
"These upgrades to Clayton Park have created a modern recreational space, with inclusive play equipment that everyone can enjoy," Mayor Flannery said.
"We thank the State Government for their support to build a stronger community in the City of Moreton Bay.
"This project is a testament to what can be achieved when local and state governments work together to deliver meaningful outcomes for our community," he said.
