A senior constable from the Southern Metropolitan Region has been charged following an internal investigation.
The 47-year-old male officer has been charged with unlawful assault.
The charges relate to an alleged incident that occurred in Frankston in January 2023, while the member was on duty.
He will appear before a court at a later date.
