Stories, laughter and some theatrical flair filled Moruya's Red Door Hall on Thursday 5 March.
More than 20 seniors participated in a theatre session as part of Eurobodalla Council's Seniors Festival.
Playback Theatre performers from Little Paddocks Mogo invited the audience to share moments from their lives - then brought them to life on the spot using improvised acting, percussion and movement.
One woman's memory of travelling around Australia sparked a lively performance about discovering the north for the first time: "The waterfalls and the rivers were huge - and the bugs were huge too!"
The crowd laughed as performers recreated the journey with plenty of drama and over-the-top reactions.
Little Paddocks Playback Theatre Troupe formed after the Black Summer bushfires, using theatre as a way for people to share stories and connect through creativity.
At the end of the session, participants said they loved the performers' quick thinking and hearing the life experiences of others in the room.
"Although we're all in a nursing home now, we've all lived such different lives and come from different places," one attendee said.
And that's what the session was all about - sharing stories, celebrating lives well lived and adding a little more colour to the day.
