Seniors expo this Saturday in Moruya

Retirees can discover the many groups and pursuits available in Eurobodalla at a seniors expo at Moruya Library on Saturday.

Hosted by Eurobodalla Council for the NSW Seniors Festival, the event focusses on what's available for seniors to live an active and engaged life.

There will be information and displays on photography, woodwork, the men's shed, U3A, service clubs, and computer groups, to name a few, as well as fitness and wellness, community transport and healthy lifestyle products.

Attendees can take a guided tour of the Bas art gallery and its latest exhibition Tree Conversations, hear good-time music, devour a free sausage sizzle, pick up a great coffee, listen to an informative talk about local history, road rules or advice for taking medications, or check out the classic car display.

Council's library services coordinator Samantha Fenton said the team hoped to showcase the range of creative activities that older residents can enjoy.

"There is so many great things for older residents to do in Eurobodalla and this expo brings them all in one place in a fun environment," she said.

The expo will be held from 10am to 2pm on Saturday 17 April at Moruya Library.
