Serious assault of police at Kingaroy

Police have charged a 27-year-old woman with multiple offences after four officers were allegedly assaulted in Kingaroy last night (May 31).

Around 8.45pm police were called to a First Avenue address where they allegedly located a 35-year-old man with facial and upper body injuries. The woman, who is known to the man, was at the scene.

It will be alleged the women assaulted four officers when they attempted to make enquiries about the incident by kicking, punching, spitting and biting them.

The Kingaroy woman was later charged with three counts of serious assault police and one count each of assault police, obstruct police and wilful damage. She was also charged with one count each of wilful damage and assault (domestic violence offence).

She was remanded in custody and is due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court today.

Two officers were admitted to Kingaroy Hospital for further treatment.
