Serious assault of police in Inala, QLD

Police have charged a 19-year-old woman with a two offences following an incident in Inala in the early hours of the morning, Queensland Police say.

At about 1:45am, police attended following reports of a street disturbance on Centaurus Street.

It is alleged police began to break up the group when the 19-year-old woman struck a police officer from behind with a bottle of vodka.

A 33-year-old male senior constable was transported to the Mater Brisbane Hospital for treatment to minor injuries sustained.

A 19-year-old Inala woman has been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed in company and one count of committing public nuisance.

She is due to appear at Richlands Magistrates Court today, November 18.
