Serious assault Salisbury North, South Australia

Police are investigating after a serious assault at Salisbury North this evening.

Initial reports are that about 5.15pm on Sunday 21 March a man attempted to intervene in an altercation between a man and a woman.

The member of the public was allegedly assaulted by the suspect, who left the scene on a motorbike with the woman.

The victim was taken by helicopter to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he is being treated for serious head injuries.

The parties are not known to each other.

Northern District Detectives are following positive lines of enquiries to locate the offender.
