Serious crash in Greenacre

Police are investigating a serious crash in Sydney’s south-west overnight, NSW Police say.

About 10.30pm (Thursday 26 April 2018), emergency services were called to the intersection of Waterloo and Rawson Roads, Greenacre, following reports of a crash.

A black Lexus and grey hatchback have collided at the intersection of Waterloo Road and Rawson Road. The circumstances which led to the collision are currently unknown.

A female passenger of a grey hatchback was ejected from the vehicle. She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool hospital where she remains in a critical condition with head injuries.

The passengers of the Lexus sedan, two men and a woman, were trapped in the vehicle for a period of time before being freed. They have also been taken to Liverpool hospital in a serious condition with head and abdominal injuries.

Mandatory blood samples will be taken from all involved parties for testing.

Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash.

The vicinity of Waterloo and Rawson Roads remain closed with local traffic diversions in place.
