Serious motorbike crash, Molendinar

The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for public assistance following a serious motorbike crash in Molendinar yesterday, May 4.

Initial investigations indicate shortly before 5.30pm, a motorbike was travelling southbound along the Pacific Motorway when it crashed.

The rider, a 53-year-old Gilston man, was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with critical injuries.

Witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision of the motorbike, a black 2006 Yamaha XV1700, is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
