Detectives have released images of a man who they believe can assist investigations into a traffic crash north of Rockhampton yesterday and an incident in Far North Queensland earlier this month.
On 9 September, police were called to a Manunda hotel around midnight, where a 45-year-old man was located with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police will allege John Durham Willey (pictured) attended the address with a firearm, before shooting the 45-year-old man and leaving the scene.
Just after midday yesterday, 16 September, police were called to a two-traffic vehicle crash on Kunwarara Road in Livingstone, north of Rockhampton.
Initial information indicates a Holden crewman utility collided with a caravan.
No one was physically injured.
Upon arrival, police located firearms and ammunition in the Holden.
A Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) declaration was made around 1.42pm, and later revoked around 7.20pm last night.
A 47-year-old Cooktown woman fled from the vehicle and was arrested in bushland nearby. She has been charged with acts intended to maim, armed robbery, unlawful possession of weapons, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and four traffic-related offences. She is appearing in Rockhampton Magistrates Court today, 17 September.
A 42-year-old man remains outstanding with police appealing to John Durham Willey to contact them.
John Willey is believed to be in the Rockhampton area and is considered armed with the public advised not to approach him.
Police are urging John to come forward or anyone who knows his whereabouts to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers immediately.
