Serious skateboard incident, Arana Hills

Police are investigating a serious skateboard incident in Arana Hills earlier tonight.

At 7.15pm, emergency services were called to Napean Avenue following reports a man was lying on the roadway.

Initial information suggests the man lost control of an electric skateboard before falling and hitting his head.

The 40-year-old man was treated for injuries at the scene before being transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's hospital in a critical condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
