Serious Traffic Crash in Harristown, Toowoomba: Police Responding

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a cyclist was struck by a vehicle in Harristown on Sunday night, March 31.

Initial investigations indicate shortly after 6pm, a white Hyundai Tucson was travelling west along Stenner Street when it collided with a cyclist, travelling south on West Street, at the Stenner Street intersection.

The rider, a 30-year-old Kearneys Spring woman, was transported to Toowoomba Hospital before being airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver, a 24-year-old Kearneys Spring man, and a passenger, a 33-year-old Drayton man, were not physically injured.

Both are assisting police with investigations.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant vision is urged to contact police.
