Serious Traffic Crash Prompts Townsville Police Response

Forensic Crash Unit are investigating after a stolen car crashed in Garbutt early this morning.

Initial investigations indicate at 2.45am the Mazda CX5 was headed north on Woolcock street when the car has left the road and hit a tree.

Two teenagers were located at the scene and three others located a short time later nearby.

All five people have been transported to hospital, with two considered to be in a serious condition.

The car was reportedly stolen from a house in Chaimberlane Place at Kirwan late on Thursday night.

Investigations are continuing.
