Serious Truck Crash at Millmerran Woods: Police Responding

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious head-on crash between two trucks on the Gore Highway overnight.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 7pm a truck in the southbound lanes collided with another truck heading northbound.

The driver and sole occupant of the southbound truck, a 24-year-old Davoren Park man sustained serious injuries to his arm and was flown by helicopter to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.

The driver and sole occupant of the northbound truck, a 38-year-old Regency Downs man was not seriously injured.

The highway was closed in both directions for several hours.

The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision from the area to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
