Severe Fire Danger - Top End

Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service and Bushfires NT are urging Territorians to remain vigilant with severe fire weather forecast this weekend.

Bureau of Meteorology Meteorologist, Rebecca Patrick said the Bureau has issued a fire weather warning as severe fire danger is expected on the weekend in north-west parts of the Top End.

"This elevated fire danger is the result of gusty winds across the Top End combined with warm and dry conditions. As the conditions continue over the weekend, stay up to date with the latest forecasts and warnings on the Bureau's website and the BOM Weather app," Ms Patrick said.

Landowners and occupiers are reminded to keep an eye out for alerts and warnings.

Assistant Chief Fire Officer Joshua Fischer said, "You can access information via the NT Fire Incident Map or the Bushfires NT alerts.

"It's important to stay informed by accessing information and warnings that will help you to make decision in keeping you and your family safe."
