Council will invest $2 million to replace filters at two of the region's wastewater treatment plants.
The filters are the last process in treating wastewater and meet stringent Department of Environment and Science requirements.
The $2,019,835 project at the Southern Wastewater Treatment Plan and Northern Wastewater Treatment Plant will be completed by 19 September.
