Sexual Crimes Squad detectives have arrested a man following a sexual assault in Mordialloc in November, Victoria Police say.
The Mordialloc man’s arrest follows a report to police that an armed man threatened a woman and forced his way into her John Street property when she arrived home on Thursday 2 November about 12.30am.
Once inside the property the victim, aged in her 70s, was sexually assaulted.
It’s also believed the same man returned to the property on a number of occasions, days after the attack, but did not enter the home.
The 35-year-old is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
