A new era is coming to Yarrawonga with the development of the Yarrawonga Multisport Stadium.
An inclusive, modern facility designed for all ages, abilities, and ambitions and Council is inviting sporting clubs, schools, businesses, and community groups to share their interest in using the stadium and tell us how they can see themselves in this space.
The Yarrawonga Multisport Stadium will be much more than a place to play. With two indoor courts, multipurpose rooms, a café, meeting spaces, and fully accessible amenities, it will be a vibrant hub for competition, training, social sport, youth programs, community events, and regional tournaments.
This round of consultation aims to hear from potential users and groups who see opportunities to deliver programs, host events, or grow activities within the state-of-the-art facility.
Chair Administrator Dr Graeme Emonson said this was an important step in ensuring the stadium reflects the aspirations of the whole community.
"The Yarrawonga Multisport Stadium will be built for everyone, a place where sport, health, and community come together. We want to hear from the groups and organisations who see themselves as part of its future, to help us understand the types of programs and partnerships that could thrive here," Dr Emonson said.
Potential users can share their feedback through Council's engagement platform Moira Matters, with in-person assistance available at any of the Customer Service Centres, or meet with Council staff at one of our pop-up engagement sites on:
Friday 8 August at the Yarrawonga Town Hall from 10am – 12pm
Wednesday 13 August at the Yarrawonga Rotary Building, Yarrawonga Showgrounds 3pm – 5.30pm.
