ANZ Bank

ANZ today announced Sheng Lee has been appointed Country Head ANZ Vietnam, reporting to Chris Raciti, ANZ Head of South East Asia, India and Middle East, and Country Head for Singapore, subject to regulatory approval.

Mr Lee brings a breadth of experience from senior international roles across the ANZ network, including Country Head roles in Vanuatu and Laos. He is currently Head of Coverage based in Hong Kong and will take over from outgoing Country Head for ANZ Vietnam, Mark Fitz-Gerald.

Commenting on Mr Lee's appointment, Mr Raciti, said: "Sheng brings a strong foundation of knowledge and proven leadership to this role, and a steady pair of hands to guide our Vietnam business.

"Vietnam is an important part of ANZ's international network. ANZ has had a presence here since 1993 and as the only Australian bank in Vietnam, we are uniquely placed to connect customers here with insights and expertise across our network.

"Sheng is the right person to lead our business in Vietnam, deepening our relationships with key Vietnamese corporate clients, as well as local and international banks and financial institutions," Mr Raciti said.

Mr Lee, who has been with ANZ since 2015, will relocate to Ho Chi Minh City and is expected to commence in the role early next year, subject to the necessary regulatory and travel approvals.

Mr Raciti added: "I'd like to thank Mark Fitz-Gerald for his contribution to ANZ over the past eight years. He has been a terrific leader and we wish him the best in the next chapter of his career."

ANZ was one of the first foreign banks to open in Vietnam. Today, ANZ Vietnam offers a full range of banking services to Multinational Corporates, Large Local Corporates and Financial Institutions.
