Shoalhaven Heads Unveils Proposed Shared Path Design

Community members are invited to provide feedback on the landscaping design for the Shoalhaven Heads shared user path as it reaches its final stage.

The path will connect existing and future shared paths as outlined in the Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan, promoting pedestrian safety and a vibrant, active lifestyle within our community.

In collaboration with the Shoalhaven Heads Botanic Gardens, a landscaping plan has been developed to aesthetically enhance the path with functional barriers while complimenting the nearby botanic gardens.

The proposed plan includes three garden beds with native shrubs and grasses less than 1-metre high and various sandstone boulders to form a barrier along the roadside. This will give the path an increased sense of safety and beauty, while having minimal impacts on the views for adjacent residents.

Council is seeking further insight from the community to ensure the landscaping coincides with community expectations.

To get involved complete the online survey before 8 May 2024 by visiting Shoalhaven Heads, River Road - Shared User Path (SUP) Stage 3 | Get Involved Shoalhaven (nsw.gov.au).
