Shooter in California's Oakland kills one, injures at least three people

A 16-year-old girl was killed and another three people were wounded in a shooting attack in Oakland, California, local police said Wednesday.

Media reports put the number of those injured at six.

The tragedy happened during the commemoration of a recently deceased friend of the victims.

​The shooter is said to have left the scene in a car, his identity and motives unknown.

The shooting came just three days after the tragedy in Orlando, where a shooter, identified as 29-year old Omar Mateen, opened fire in the Pulse gay nightclub, killing 49 people and injuring at least 53 others.
