Carols in the Domain joins Nine in new multi-year broadcast partnership
One of Australia's most enduring Christmas traditions, The Salvation Army's Carols in the Domain, is moving to a new broadcast home, announcing a multi-year partnership with Nine from 2026. Hosted by A Current Affair's Ally Langdon and 9News' James Bracey, the 44th annual Carols in the Domain will be broadcast live from Sydney's historic Domain on Saturday, December 19, bringing one of the country's biggest nights of Christmas entertainment to audiences across Channel 9 and 9Now.
The move marks a significant new chapter for Carols in the Domain after 38 years with the Seven Network, and gives the event a long-term broadcast home as part of Nine's extraordinary line-up of Christmas programming.
Nine's Head of Content, Production & Development, Adrian Swift, said:

The new agreement begins another chapter in the remarkable history of Carols in the Domain, which has been a fixture of Australian Christmas television since 1988.
The Salvation Army's Carols in the Domain Executive Producer Michael McKay said "Nine's enthusiasm for the event, together with its commitment to Christmas programming, made the partnership a natural fit.

Now entering its 44th year, Carols in the Domain brings together some of Australia's biggest performers for a spectacular night of Christmas entertainment in front of tens of thousands of people in Sydney's Domain and audiences around the country.
