As part of Orange City Council's retail stimulus package, Council is urging businesses to sign up to participate in the 'Shop Your Way to $50k' campaign to get locals and visitors to shop in the Orange region in the lead up to Christmas.
Orange Mayor Reg Kidd said the campaign will provide a much-needed boost to local businesses as they recover from COVID-19 lockdowns.
"Our business sector has been through a lot in the last two years, and this is one way that we can help businesses through the recovery," he said. "We want to encourage locals to spend their money here and for people from other locations to visit the Orange region for their Christmas shopping."
CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN: The call is out for businesses who want to join in the 'Shop Your Way to $50K' promotion.
"By shopping in the Orange region, you have a chance to win a share of the $50K. I am encouraging businesses to get on board and am excited to launch the campaign in the next few weeks."
Orange City Council's Employment and Economic Development Committee Chair Cr Tony Mileto said it is easy to get involved.
