Shots fired at Mindarie

Gang Crime Squad detectives are investigating an incident in Mindarie that occurred around 7.45pm last night (13 July) in which shots were fired.

An orange coloured Mustang and a white coloured utility were in the carpark of the Mindarie Marina when the occupants exited the vehicles and fired at each other before returning to their vehicles and fleeing the scene. It does not appear anyone was injured in the incident.

Around 1.35am, the Mustang was sighted by police in Kingsway. Police followed the vehicle but lost sight of it on Hepburn Avenue. The Mustang was located crashed into a wall on the corner of Archer Street and Goundrey Drive in Pearsall. The occupant(s) of the Mustang had fled the vehicle prior to police arriving. Police officers as well as officers from the Canine Unit searched the area but did not locate the offender.

Gang Crime Squad detectives have carriage of the investigation but links to any Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs has not been established at this time.
