Shots fired during break in at Elizabeth Downs

Police are investigating a shooting incident at Elizabeth Downs last night.

Just before midnight on Friday 30 December, police were called to a home on Stratton Road after reports a home had been broken into by two men and two shots had been fired into the front door. An IPad and cash was stolen before the two men left.

Thankfully the occupants who were home at the time were not injured.

The men are described as of Caucasian appearance, one was aged between 45 and 50 medium build wearing blue jeans, black bomber jacket and a black bandana. The second man was aged in his 30's and is tall with a slim build. He was wearing a white hoodie and jeans.

Patrols searched the area but were unable to locate anyone.

Northern Detectives are investigating the incident and do not believe the incident is random.
