Investigations are underway after shots were reportedly fired in Villawood this morning.
Around 4.20am (Friday 16 January 2026), emergency services were called to a home on Urana Street, Villawood, following reports of shots fired.
On arrival, officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command located a man – believed to be in his 40s – suffering from a wound to his leg.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to a hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene has been established and investigations into the incident has commenced.
