And after a wet week for much of south-east last week bringing welcome soaking rain, but also some flooding to Victoria. This week will continue that showery trend across eastern and south-eastern Australia with cold fronts also bringing welcome rain to WA.
Now, today will be cool to mild with widespread cloud across central and eastern Australia, bringing showers to South Australia and coastal parts of Queensland and New South Wales, otherwise it will be dry and warm and mostly sunny across the north and west.
Now, Monday will see showers continue across much of the east coast and across eastern South Australia and western New South Wales, while in WA a cold front will bring a band of rain and strong winds there to the south-west. Elsewhere will be dry.
Showers will continue across much of eastern Australia on Tuesday and spread across much of South Australia, Victoria and northern Tasmania with a front. Elsewhere will continue to be dry and cool to mild, tending hot in the north.
Wednesday will see showers continue across Tasmania, Victoria and much of the east coast, with showers also developing about the west coast with a trough. Dry, cool and mostly sunny weather elsewhere under high pressure.
A cloud band may stretch across the country on Thursday with a band of light rain stretching from the Pilbara, through South Australia and into New South Wales, while showers will continue to ease in the east and in Victoria. Elsewhere will continue to be dry and partly cloudy.
Friday will see patchy rain continue across inland WA, South Australia and inland New South Wales while a weak front will bring showers to Tasmania and Victoria, with dry conditions elsewhere.
